New solo show by Maguelone Du Fou

It starts at night, then comes the day.
It all begins at dusk, when life takes its course, the world is rebuilt, friendships are made and the sweetness of life is rekindled. Then comes the day: a time of languor, lulled by the song of the cicadas.
Maguelone draws her Provence, suspended moments, memories, familiar places that she recreates, bigger, more beautiful, more intense...
"Anything is possible in drawing, the only limit is the imagination". And that's exactly Maguelone's aim: to sublimate reality. Why simply represent what you see when you can breathe extra life into it? This sensitivity comes first and foremost through colour. It is colour, not the medium, that guides the artist. The technique doesn't matter, as long as the hue is vibrant. Maguelone doesn't just draw, she plays with matter and the infinite nuances of colour. From the grain of the paper comes depth, from the dilution and transparency of the medium comes light.
This exhibition is like an ode to the 'dolce vita', where pinks, yellows and blues vibrate in unison in formats that are often large, as if to better immerse you in these warm scenes where time seems to have stood still.
